A Witness Sees Brigham Young and Deceased Apostles on the Stand

During the Salt Lake Temple dedication in April 1893, one individual reported seeing on the stand, alongside the living Brethren, Brigham Young and several members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles who had passed away, as well as other spirit beings. The witness understood the appearance of these former leaders, who had labored during their mortality toward the building of the temple but had not lived to see it completed, as a heavenly confirmation that they too were present and rejoicing in the long-awaited dedication. This account paralleled Wilford Woodruff's own testimony that the heavenly host, including Joseph and Hyrum Smith, Brigham Young, and John Taylor, were in attendance at the dedication services.
