In the spring of 1836, Milo Andrus was present in Kirtland at the dedication of the temple and the endowment of the elders that the Lord had promised as a reward for their offerings. When the Holy Ghost was poured out on the elders, Milo saw fire descend and rest on the heads of the elders. They spoke with tongues and prophesied. The blessings of the Lord were poured out abundantly upon the assembled elders, and Milo counted this experience as a great joy to him.
