Years before joining the Church, Benjamin Brown had a dream that he would preach the gospel. He recorded that he had dreamed of 'preaching in a dream' and felt a strong impression that he would become a preacher. After joining the Latter-day Saint Church and being ordained to preach, his childhood dream was literally fulfilled. Brown reflected on how this prophetic dream, given years before his conversion, guided his life toward his ultimate calling as a missionary and elder in the restored Church. The fulfillment of this dream was a sign to him of God's providence and the reality of divine direction in his life.
