Caroline Crosby attended a family blessing meeting or feast at the house of John P. Greene in Kirtland. Dr. Frederick G. Williams blessed his family, and his eldest daughter had recently married and was about to leave for Missouri. He blessed her family before their departure, laying his hands upon each of their heads, and the scribe wrote down the blessings. The Prophet Joseph Smith was present and had a vision concerning their journey. In the vision, he saw their wagon turn over, but no one was injured. This prophecy came to pass exactly as Joseph Smith said it would. This manifestation of Joseph Smith's prophetic calling gave Caroline and others present confirmation of his divine calling.
