An isolated Latter-day Saint woman in Tunbridge Wells had been praying for several days that the Lord would send His servants back to the area. When Elder Soren Peterson and his companion visited her and informed her that two missionaries had been appointed to labor there, she recognized it as a direct answer to her earnest prayers.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
I have just returned from Tunbridge Wells, where two Elders are now comfortably located. There is but one Latter-day Saint in that town, and when we called on her this morning and told her that two missionaries had been appointed to labor in Tunbridge Wells, she burst into tears. 'Do you know,' she said, 'I have prayed earnestly to the Lord for several days to send His servants back here. See how He has answered my prayers.'
