An unnamed backslider in the Kent Conference, who had previously lapsed in his covenants and duties, returned to the Church after experiencing a dream in which he was told he must serve the Lord.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 27, No. 7, 18 February 1865, p. 108):

A backslider in the Kent Conference, who had been cut off from the Church, was brought to repentance through a dream, in which he was told that he must serve the Lord.

In Their Own Words

“We notice another feature in this Conference, and that is, the return of many a backslider to their covenants and duties. One returned through a dream, in which he was told he must serve the Lord. — Millennial Star 27:7”
