In Northern Norway, a region of many islands where mission work is physically difficult, two missionaries could not find lodging despite asking many people. They prayed for the Lord to soften the heart of the local parish priest to allow them to stay the night. Their prayer was answered, and the priest provided them with lodging, supper, and breakfast, though he requested they avoid talking about religion.

In Their Own Words

“Two elders reported having met opposition in getting lodgings, and after calling in vain on all but the parish priest, decided to call upon the Lord in prayer and ask Him to soften the priest's heart that they might be entertained during the night. Their prayers were answered, for they not only received lodging, but were also treated to supper and breakfast under the direction of the priest. He requested, however, that they say nothing about religion. — Millennial Star 70:47”
