Elder Thomas W. Brookbank, speaking at the Liverpool conference, provided a detailed account of how the prophecy of Joseph Smith concerning the American Civil War was fulfilled in every detail, serving as a pillar of his testimony.

Elder Thomas W. Brookbank, in a recent address at the Blackburn conference, spoke of the fulfillment of the prophecy of Joseph Smith concerning the American Civil War, and showed how it had been fulfilled in every detail.

“He spoke in detail of the prophecy by Joseph Smith concerning the Civil War in America, and in explaining it, showed how each separate phase of the prophecy has been fulfilled to the very letter. With this and other testimonies there is no reasonable ground for doubting the divine calling of the latter-day prophet. — Millennial Star 75:20”
