Seth Johnson — Spiritual Manifestation Regarding His Mother

Seth Johnson recorded a spiritual manifestation concerning his mother, who had passed away before the family had the opportunity to complete her temple work. In a dream or vision (as detailed in the Liddell manuscript), Seth was shown his mother's state in the spirit world and received a comforting assurance that she had accepted the gospel. This experience served as a divine catalyst for Seth's lifelong devotion to genealogical research and his subsequent service as a worker in the St. George Temple, where he felt a continued spiritual connection to his ancestors.

Recording note: This account is preserved in the Seth Johnson family history submitted to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Lesson Department by Colette J. Liddell and in Pioneer Pathways materials on Panguitch, Utah, none of which are available in a public online source. Seth Johnson devoted his later life to genealogical research and served as a worker in the St. George Temple. No verbatim first-person text of his dream is included here.
