During a windstorm on November 8, 1870, half the roof of H. N. Chlarsson's residence in the 10th Ward was lifted and carried half a block. Chlarsson went onto the remaining portion of the roof to secure it, at which point he was lifted gently from the roof to the ground by the wind, landing upright without sustaining any injuries.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 32, No. 49, 6 December 1870, p. 782):

On the 8th of November, a very severe wind storm visited Salt Lake City. A portion of the roof of brother H. N. Chlarsson's house, in the 10th Ward, was lifted off and carried half a block. Brother Chlarsson went on to the remaining part of the roof to secure it, when he was lifted gently from the roof to the ground, landing on his feet, without receiving any injury.

In Their Own Words

Nobody injured. — Millennial Star 32:49”
