During a Thanksgiving visit from two missionaries to a humble, poor family in South Carolina, the missionaries felt moved to lay their hands on the head of the father, Mr. Eldon, who had been blinded by overwork. Upon doing so, his sight was instantly restored.
In Their Own Words
“The father then asked the elders to pray, which they did in a simple, fervent manner, that touched every heart. Then they felt moved upon by the Spirit of God to lay their hands upon the head of Mr. Eldon to ask God that his affliction might be removed. The Lord answered their prayer, for when they removed their hands, Mr. Eldon exclaimed: ‘A miracle has been wrought. I can once again see you all.’ — The Young Woman's Journal 9:11”
