Elder F. Schoenfeld records that although he and others were summoned to court in Canton Aargau and initially faced uncertainty, they were later released, had their passports returned, and were allowed to travel unmolested because the Lord stood by them.

In Their Own Words

“On the 20th of October we were summoned to appear, when the law under which we are tolerated in Switzerland was read to us, and we were told that the verdict would be sent to us; and we received our passports back, to travel unmolested. We were told by the authorities that they had no desire to interfere with us, but that the people were so excited that they could not protect us, and that nothing could be done for us so far as he was concerned. However, the Lord stood by us, and we have been enabled to continue our labors in the Canton of Aargau, and have held meetings in several places, and have had good attendance, and the people seem to be very much interested in the truth.”

— F. Schoenfeld, Millennial Star 46:46
