A young girl, while dying, told her mother she saw angels whispering to her that she would play with them 'to-morrow' (a reference to her passing). She described the angels' voices and promised to sing for her mother at Christmas, shortly before she passed away.

In Their Own Words

“A little girl, about six years of age, who had been sick for some time, and was fast sinking into the arms of death, called her mother to her bedside, and said, 'Mamma, don't cry, for the angels have been here and whispered in my ear that I should play with them to-morrow. Don't you see them, mamma? Don't you hear them? Put your face down to mine. There, dear mamma, don't you hear them? They are singing such sweet songs, and they say I shall go with them to-morrow.' The mother, with a heart almost broken, asked her what they said. 'Oh,' said the child, 'they say I shall be so happy, and that I shall sing with them, and that I will come and sing for you at Christmas.' The next day the little spirit took its flight to the mansions of the blest, and the mother was left to mourn the loss of her darling child, but she felt that her loss was her child's eternal gain.”
