Jane Norman, a grieving widow who felt resentful and bitter toward God after the deaths of her two daughters and her husband, finds her faith restored through an Easter experience. While walking with a crippled girl named Tressie, Jane enters a church where the organ is playing on Easter Sunday. Tressie suggests they listen to the message of the organ about the resurrection. Jane receives a miraculous spiritual transformation, feeling her faith injected by the child's sublime faith and the music, and she is able to pray and acknowledge her Savior again.

In Their Own Words

““O Mrs. Norman, can you not hear the message of the organ?” whispered the child. “Why no, Tressie.” Jane looked at her strangely, “Its Easter you know. It’s tell- ing us of the resurrection, that Christ is risen.” The woman gasped at the up- turned face and a miracle was per- formed for the sublime faith of the crippled child was injected into the soul of Jane Norman. — The Young Woman's Journal 32:3”
