An Indian chief named Moroni, living in Thistle Valley, experienced a vision while he was awake. He saw his house lit up and was visited by a personage who told him he had created the earth. The personage also indicated that President Brigham Young was with him, having 'worn himself out' in his service.

In Their Own Words

“The Lord seems to be laboring among the Indians (as well as our brethren). Au Indian chief, the name of ‘Moroni,” in Thistle Valley, had a vision while wide awake; he saw the house lit up, this personage who talked to him, told him that he had created this earth, and knew it before it was formed; and that Prest. Young was with him, having worn himself out in his service.— Millennial Star 40:12”
