Heber C. Kimball recorded a dream where he was speaking before a large congregation about national policy and religion. In the dream, Joseph Smith appeared, confirmed that he had laid the foundation, and sanctioned Heber's teaching that the Saints would need to carry out Joseph's measures.

In Their Own Words

“Elder Kimball recorded the following dream:-- ‘I dreamed of speaking before a large congregation on the policy of the nation and the policy of our religion. I said that Joseph the Prophet had laid the foundation, and we would have to carry out his measures. Joseph was present, and heard all I said and sanctioned it. All seemed perfectly natural.’ — Millennial Star 25:13”
