Sister Wheatley, a long-time member of the Church, requested that missionaries administer to her as she was ill. The missionaries administered to her, and when they called on her the next day, they found her significantly better.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 60, No. 29, 21 July 1898, p. 461):
Sister Wheatley, of Beeston, who has been a member of the Church for many years, was taken very ill, and requested the Elders to administer to her. They did so, and when they called to see her the next day she was much better.
In Their Own Words
“Brother and Sister Wheatley live here, they are old members of the Church, having been baptized in 1854 by Thomas Smith. They have been separated from the Saints for many years, but to show that she still had faith in the Gospel, Sister Wheatley requested that we administer to her as she was not well. We called on her the next day and found her much better. — Millennial Star 60:29”
