Healing of Sister Jane Gillette from Rupture

Sister Jane Gillette, of Hungerford, had been suffering for some years with a rupture and was required to wear a truss and supporter. After her baptism on February 28, 1885, by Elder William Horsley, and reflecting on the writings of Apostle Orson Pratt regarding a woman healed of a similar complaint at her baptism, she exercised faith and was healed of her condition.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
Sister Jane Gillette of Hungerford was one of the ladies I baptized on the 28th of February, 1885. She had been suffering for some years with a rupture, the last which was so bad that she had to wear a truss, supporter, and having read in the works of Apostle Orson Pratt of a woman having been healed of a similar complaint at her baptism, she felt to have faith that she would also be healed; and I am pleased to say that she was.
