Sister Annie Bishop of Fillmore City was suffering from a rose cancer in the breast for three months. Elder Elias H. Blackburn anointed her head and breast with oil and sealed it with the prayer of faith. The pain left, the swelling disappeared, and she was healed.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 65, No. 7, 12 February 1903, p. 107):
Sister Annie Bishop of Fillmore City was suffering from a rose cancer in the breast for three months. Elder Elias H. Blackburn anointed her head and breast with oil and sealed it with the prayer of faith. The pain left, the swelling disappeared, and she was healed.
In Their Own Words
“A sister Annie Bishop, of Fillmore City, Utah, was afflicted with cancer in the breast. I was called to see her and found her suffering with a rose cancer of three months standing. I anointed her head and breast, by her request, with holy oil and sealed the anointing by the prayer of faith. The pain left her, the swelling disappeared, and she was healed by the power of God, and not of man. — Millennial Star 65:7”
