Healing of an Ill Sister in South Shields

“During our evening meeting one of our sisters was taken so ill that by the time the meeting was dismissed she could scarcely hold her head up. She requested to be administered to, and we retired to a private room for that purpose. We who assisted in the administration could feel distinctly each pulsation of the heart as it forced the blood through her system in spasmodic jerks, each of which seemed to shake her whole body. Brother McMurrin pronounced the blessings of the Lord upon her, and by the power and authority of the Priesthood and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ rebuked the power and influence of the destroyer. As he did so we could feel the force of each pulsation grow weaker and weaker and by the time he had finished blessing her they had become imperceptible to us. She immediately said she felt better, and in a few minutes she was able to walk to the tram car and go to her home, and the next day she was about her usual duties as well as ever.”
