The author, suffering from an attack of La Grippe, felt agonizingly low in faith after a blessing failed to bring immediate relief. In a state of desperation, the author poured out a 'soul-cry' to God in prayer, and within two minutes, the pain vanished completely.

In Their Own Words

“One evening I was administered to by a good brother, and I believed—I say now hoped—that I would be healed. Next morning, I suffered not less but more pain, and being all alone in my bed room, I said: 'Oh, Father, why do I have so little faith? I know that Thou art able and willing to relieve me of this pain.' Over this lack of faith my sou! was agonized, and out of this agony I cried to God and—lo! inside of two minutes all my pain vanished. — The Young Woman's Journal 9:4”
