George Crane's manifestation of light over Elders in Lamberhead Green

While holding an open-air meeting in Lamberhead Green, Elder George Crane felt a strong spiritual impulse to testify. As he raised his hands, he and others observed a brilliant light descend in a line over Elders Vickers and Goold, resting directly over himself.
In Their Own Words
“I felt a strong impulse to bare my testimony, and my hands almost mechanically went up as the power of the priesthood poured forth my words. I saw a line of light, for I give this, not as a fanatical hunter, or one that seeketh a sign, but to show that the power of God is here, without which I should be one that was dumb, for it is not easy for a sensitive man to face the scoffs and jeers of an unbelieving world to preach the Gospel in the open air, yet they saw it. I saw a line of light, and several others saw it also; they described it as an exceedingly bright light in a line over Elders Vickers and Goold and rested directly over me as I stood with upraised hands. It was a testimony to me, and I believe to many others, that the Lord is with His servants in their labors, and that He is willing to bear witness to the truth of the message they bear, when it is delivered in the spirit of the Gospel.”
