Elder Snelgrove, Binder, Farrell, and Hogg's Preservation from Shipwreck on the SS Wyoming

On December 25th, during a voyage from New York to Liverpool, the S. S. Wyoming was hit by a massive wave. The sea carried off two boats, crushed a third on deck, tore a mainsail to shreds, flooded the engine room with three feet of water, and extinguished the galley fires. Despite these dangers and another damaged mainsail later in the voyage, the party of Elders felt the preserving care of God throughout their travel.

On the 25th of December, during a heavy gale, a tremendous sea struck the ship, carrying away two boats, crushing a third on the deck, tearing a mainsail to shreds, and flooding the engine room with three feet of water, which extinguished the galley fires. The Elders on board felt that the preserving care of the Almighty was over them, for although the ship was much damaged, and another mainsail was torn later in the voyage, they arrived in safety.
