While Elder Heber J. Romney was arriving in Glasgow with the wrong address for the Saints' meeting location and feeling unsure how to proceed, he saw a man on the street whom he felt prompted was an Elder. Upon approaching the man, he was successfully directed to the Saints' concert in good time for the meeting.
In Their Own Words
“Asked the prayers of the Saints for all the Elders. Heber J. Romney said he was very much pleased with his visit. He was born in Utah and had been there till he came to Great Britain twenty-two months ago. He had heard and read so much of the learning and religion of this place that he was almost bewildered. However, in the streets of Glasgow he had been blessed in so doing. He here related an incident that had occurred quite recently, when he came from another part, and arrived in Glasgow by Saturday. He found he had the wrong address and did not know what to do. In this dilemma, he saw a man on the street whom he felt sure was an Elder. He accosted the man, and the result was that he was present at our concert on Saturday evening in good time. — Millennial Star 44:31”
