Elder Gates's Near-Death Experience and Visitation with Church Leaders

Elder Gates, who was at the point of death, had a vision where he went to the spirit world and visited a mansion. There, he saw Hyrum Smith, Brigham Young, Heber C. Kimball, George A. Smith, Parley P. Pratt, and Orson Pratt seated at a table in council. Joseph Smith spoke to him, telling him he could return to live and build his house, and that he would have the means to do so. Elder Gates recovered from his near-death state.
