Brother Archibald was sleeping on a train passing through Wyoming. A voice spoke to him, warning him of his position and the danger to his money. Upon waking, he caught a thief attempting to rob him.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 58, No. 48 (26 November 1896), p. 764):
Brother Archibald, while traveling on the cars through Wyoming, was sleeping, when a voice spoke to him, saying, 'Archibald, look out for your money.' He awoke, and found a man in the act of picking his pocket.
In Their Own Words
“One night while resting in half position on the seat of the car a voice said to him “You are lying in such a position that all your money can be taken out of your pocket.” With a sudden start he clapped his hand over the pocket in which he carried his purse, and awoke from his sleep just in time to see a man go out rather hastily through the car-door. ... When Brother Archibald learned from his companion traveler of the attempt made to rob him, he was satisfied that it was a divine intervention. — Millennial Star 58:48”
