Carl C. Asmussen, preaching in Christchurch, New Zealand, testifies that the Lord has been with him, bearing him up in his missionary work. He notes that while the power of the devil has been strong, the Lord has intervened in public meetings, causing hecklers to be riveted to their seats and lose their desire to mock.

In Their Own Words

“Sometimes the power of the devil has been very great to make mischief—some have even come for that very purpose, but the Lord has been with us, and those very persons have been so influenced that they have been as though rivetted down to their seats, and the smile of ridicule has left them for a while. — Millennial Star 29:27”
