During a meeting in Penarth, Wales, where Latter-day Saint Elders were being questioned and challenged by the audience, Brother Treasure of Cardiff was eventually permitted to speak. He testified that the signs follow believers today and stated that he had been healed instantly of a combination of diseases through the administration of Latter-day Saint Elders.

Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 62, No. 6, 8 February 1900, p. 93):

Brother Treasure, of Cardiff, bore a strong testimony to the truth of the Gospel, and stated that he had been healed instantaneously of a combination of diseases through the administration of the Elders.

In Their Own Words

“Brother Treasure, of Cardiff, arose in the audience to speak but was not permitted to do so, his voice being drowned by the yells of the crowd; but on an appeal being made to give him a hearing he was allowed to proceed, when he bore a faithful testimony that signs follow the believers now the same as in former times, declaring that he had been healed instantly of a combination of diseases, under the hands of the Latter-day Saint Elders. — Millennial Star 62:6”
