An unnamed missionary reporting his labors from London recalls a 1861 incident where his father was confirmed by George Teasdale. During the confirmation, Teasdale promised the father that his wife would yet be baptized into the Church. The missionary reports that this promise has been fulfilled to the letter.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 51, No. 5, 4 February 1889, p. 75):
I remember in 1861, when I was confirmed by Elder George Teasdale, he promised me that my wife would yet be baptized into the Church. This promise has been fulfilled to the letter.
In Their Own Words
“Before leaving home, my father related a circumstance of a similar nature. He said, when he joined the Church in 1861, upon being confirmed by yourself, you promised him his wife would yet be baptized, which, I am thankful to say, has been fulfilled to the very letter. — Millennial Star 51:5”
