Lovisa Cooper was suffering from severe nervousness and agitation. Lucy Mack Smith visited her and diagnosed that a good and evil spirit were operating on her. After some persuasion, Hyrum Smith and other elders visited her house, laid hands on her twice in the name of the Lord, and administered to her.

In Their Own Words
