Olga Kovářová Campora — The Miracle of the 100 Signatures

In 1989, to gain legal recognition for the Church in Czechoslovakia, the law required a petition signed by 100 citizens. In the climate of Communist persecution, signing such a document was extremely dangerous and could lead to imprisonment or loss of employment. Olga recounts the miracle of finding 100 brave individuals who were willing to risk their livelihoods to sign the petition. This collective act of faith, and the subsequent protection of those signers, allowed the Church to be officially registered shortly after the Velvet Revolution.
