LeGrand Richards — Foreknowledge of the Southern States Call
Contributed by
Book Research — A Marvelous Work and a Wonder
Prior to receiving his official call to serve as the President of the Southern States Mission, LeGrand Richards experienced a spiritual manifestation or 'premonition' that he would be sent to that specific region. He felt a deep, unexplained love for the people of the South and a certainty that he had a work to do there. This spiritual preparation allowed him to accept the call with immediate conviction and was later validated by the inspiration he received to write the missionary outlines that became his famous book.
