Martha Ann Prior Jarvis — Healing of a Dying Daughter
Contributed by
Bibliography Research
Martha Ann Prior Jarvis's daughter fell dangerously ill with a fever that local remedies could not break. The child's condition worsened until she appeared to be at the point of death. Martha, a woman of profound faith, refused to give up and called for the elders of the Church to administer to the child. Following the administration and Martha's own fervent prayers and dedicated nursing, the child experienced a sudden and complete recovery. This event was viewed by the family as a direct manifestation of the power of healing and was recorded by Iva Balmforth Price as a testament to her ancestor's faith.
