Thomas Durham — Healing of Total Blindness

Thomas Durham, a prominent pioneer musician and weaver in Parowan, suffered a severe affliction that resulted in total blindness for a period of nine months. According to the history recorded by his son Alfred and Luella Adams Dalton, Durham sought a blessing through the administration of the Priesthood. Following this administration, his sight was miraculously restored. This healing was considered a significant providence by the local community, as it allowed Durham to continue his vital work as the leader of the Parowan Choir and his trade as a weaver, which supported his family during the difficult early years of the Iron County Mission.
