Cora Lindsay Bennion: Wife of Milton, Mother of Lowell (early 1900s)

Cora Lindsay Bennion was the wife of Milton Bennion, longtime dean of the University of Utah College of Education and later general superintendent of the Sunday School, and the mother of Lowell L. Bennion, founder of the first Institute of Religion. With her husband she reared a family in the faith, and her son Lowell would later write and teach extensively on religious living, becoming one of the most beloved Latter-day Saint educators of the twentieth century. Her quiet faithfulness is a faith-promoting witness of the mothers who, beside their scholar-husbands, nurture the children who will in turn build up the kingdom, and whose consecrated homes become the seedbed of consecrated lives.
