John A. Bennett: A Pioneer of Brighton, Utah (1878)

John A. Bennett—known to his family as 'Johnnie'—was a faithful Latter-day Saint pioneer who, on 4 August 1878 at Brighton, married Flora Mason, the daughter of William Mason, and helped build up one of the small Latter-day Saint settlements of the Utah mountains. Brother Bennett's life is a faith-promoting witness of the quiet Saints of the later pioneer generation who, in the high valleys and small towns, married, raised families, and built up the wards of Zion far from the larger settlements.
