Earl S. Beecher, Ph.D., is a faithful Latter-day Saint who served as a military chaplain and recorded his ministry in the memoir 'A Mormon Chaplain' (2011). His service represents the Latter-day Saint chaplains who, in the armed forces of their country, minister to the spiritual needs of Saints and non-Saints alike, bringing the peace of the gospel into places of danger and sacrifice. Brother Beecher's life is a faith-promoting witness of those who, wearing their country's uniform, also wear their priesthood and their testimony, and serve both God and their fellow soldiers.
