Henry Beal: A Mormon Pioneer Who Brought His Family to Utah Territory

Henry Beal was a Mormon pioneer who came to Utah Territory in the great overland migration of 1847–1868 to help settle the Saints' new mountain home. He was the patriarch of a faithful Latter-day Saint family that included his son John Alma Beal (1836–1902) and later descendants who helped settle the Sanpete Valley. Brother Beal's life is a faith-promoting witness of the pioneer patriarchs who gathered with the Saints and, through their families, built up the kingdoms and communities of Zion in the western valleys.
