Mary Ann Barzee Boyce: A Pioneer Wife, Mother, and 'Handmaiden of the Lord' (1821–1902)

Mary Ann Barzee Boyce (1821–1902), married in 1840, was a Latter-day Saint pioneer wife and mother whose faithful life has been remembered in the volume 'Handmaidens of the Lord' among the women who gave their lives to the Lord and to their families in the pioneer era. Sister Boyce's life is a faith-promoting witness of the many unnamed pioneer women whose steadfast faith, marriage, and motherhood quietly built up the households of Zion across a faithful lifetime.
