Ethan Barrows Jr.: An Early Latter-day Saint Convert of New England (c. 1835–1838)

Ethan Barrows Jr. was an early Latter-day Saint who was converted at eighteen when the Apostle Lyman Johnson preached in Dalton, Coos County, New Hampshire, in July 1835. Brother Barrows kept a journal (later published in the 'Journal of History,' January 1922), and his death was noted in the obituary of the Elders' Journal in August 1838. His brief but faithful life is a witness of the early Saints of New England who, hearing the restored gospel preached by an Apostle, believed and gave their lives to it.
