Daniel Casseras, a 13-year-old Latter-day Saint living in Brussels, Belgium, felt a powerful impression to share the Book of Mormon with every one of his classmates on the last day of elementary school — a remarkable act of missionary courage from one so young.

Daniel had attended the school for nine years and had formed deep friendships. As the end of the year approached, he thought about having a farewell party. His father suggested: "Wouldn't it be great to tell your friends who you really are and what religion you believe in?" They talked about it and decided that giving each classmate a Book of Mormon, with a personal dedication written inside, would be the best way to share who they really were.

On the last day of school, during recess before an end-of-year activity at a park, Daniel felt the urgency of the moment. He knew that some of his classmates he might never see again. Nervous but determined, he gave out 23 Book of Mormons — one to every classmate. He had written a dedication in each book: "It's been a long time since we've known each other and it's hard to leave each other. I think we've had great fun during these years. I want you to know my religion. I'm a Mormon, and I hope that this book will do good to you and that you'll be able to read it."

The reaction was remarkable. Most of the classmates thought the wrapped books were presents and were happy to receive them. They put them in their backpacks. Only one classmate guessed it was a "Bible" and gave it back. The rest accepted the gift.
