President Howard W. Hunter served as President of the Church for only nine months due to his declining health. Yet in that brief time, he initiated the completion of the Salt Lake Temple and inspired a renewed emphasis on personal temple worship. Despite his physical frailty, Hunter's spiritual strength never wavered. His testimony remained firm, his love for the Savior undimmed, and his faith sustained him through his final illness. His brief but powerful presidency demonstrated that the Lord can accomplish His purposes through faithful servants even when they are physically limited.
