Long before Benjamin Brown encountered the Latter-day Saints, he experienced a recurring dream of himself preaching the gospel. Throughout his childhood and young adulthood, this dream visited him repeatedly, and he felt deeply impressed that his life's work would involve proclaiming God's truth. Years later, after receiving the vision of his deceased brother and reading the sacred scriptures, he began to preach the gospel and fulfill the dreams that the Lord had planted in his heart. The dreams proved to be prophetic visions that prepared him for his future mission.
