Miraculous healing of Milo Andrus from cholera on return from Zion's Camp (1834)

Following the formal discharge of Zion's Camp in Missouri in 1834, Milo Andrus began the return journey to Ohio. During the trip he contracted cholera—the same “dread monster” that had claimed the lives of thirteen brethren earlier in the expedition. Andrus recorded that although he was care-worn and much fatigued, the Lord miraculously healed him, allowing him to continue rejoicing with the other returning elders and arrive back with his family on the last of September 1834.
