Solomon Chamberlain preached the Book of Mormon at a Methodist conference to about forty preachers. One of their greatest preachers, by the name of Buckly, abused Chamberlain and ordered him off their premises. Shortly thereafter, this minister 'was taken crazy, and died a miserable death.' This swift judgment testified to the divine nature of the work Chamberlain was defending.
