Benjamin Brown's Vision of Two Nephite Apostles

Benjamin Brown experienced a vision of two Nephite apostles before he joined the Church. In accounts dated around 1833 (one source) and 1835 (another), Brown records that two ancient Nephite apostles appeared to him; they were "dressed as I should think, any other men would be dressed, so that I could not tell them from any other men, except through the influence of the Spirit." He heard their voices and listened to their conversation; they appeared to be conversing with each other and made remarks to him respecting the gospel and the work of God. This experience confirmed to Brown the reality of the spiritual world and the coming Restoration and served as a decisive confirmation that played a significant role in his conversion.
