Jonathan Crosby - Preserved from Putrid Dysentery at Age Eleven

When Jonathan Crosby was eleven years old, he was taken with 'Putrid Dysentery,' a serious and often fatal disease that brought him near the point of death. His mother also became sick of the same disease but she died on July 30, 1818, leaving two small daughters (one four years old, the other three months old) without their mother. However, Jonathan was miraculously preserved from death by this disease, though his mother was taken. This was one of several times in his youth when the Destroyer was after him but the Lord's hand was upon him for preservation.
