Robert Mason Prophesied the Restoration 30 Years Before It Occurred

Around 1800, Robert Mason of Connecticut received a vision from the Lord revealing that there was no true Church on the earth in his generation, but that in the next generation God would restore His kingdom with prophets, apostles, and all the gifts of the ancient church. Mason told young Wilford Woodruff in 1830 — the very spring the Church was organized — that he would never partake of the fruit himself but that Woodruff would become a 'conspicuous actor' in that kingdom. The prophecy was fulfilled exactly: Woodruff was baptized in 1833, became an Apostle, and eventually served as the fourth President of the Church. Mason's foreknowledge of the Restoration, received three decades before it happened, stands as a remarkable prophetic fulfillment.
